Your first run
- Create or connect a local career workspace.
- Import a résumé, then review the structured information.
- Choose an AI option and confirm what information that option sends away from the Mac.
- Set target roles, locations, compensation, and source preferences.
- Run the workspace check, search, and quick match.
- Deep-evaluate worthwhile roles, prepare documents, and track each decision in the pipeline.
Jobber does not submit applications, send messages, accept terms, or answer sensitive questions for you.
Choose the right starting point
Understand AI choices
Compare Codex, a personal OpenAI API key, and Jobber AI, including who bills you and what leaves the Mac.
Get Jobber for macOS
Review compatibility, installation, licensing, and release verification in one place.
Understand local data
See which records stay in the workspace and when a selected AI task may transmit scoped context.
Review product boundaries
Review user responsibilities, safety limits, licensing, and AI provider boundaries.
Recovery principles
When a task fails, Jobber explains:
- what did not finish and what remained unchanged;
- whether the task can retry or resume;
- the direct action that can resolve the problem;
- how to dismiss the message; and
- where to find redacted advanced details.
Advanced details stay available for troubleshooting without taking over the normal product flow.
Everyday workflows
Refine a search
Update roles, locations, compensation, freshness, exclusions, and sources from Search settings. Saving settings does not start a search until you confirm it.
Review opportunities
Use quick match to reduce noise, open source links to verify a listing, and deep-evaluate only the roles worth more time. Removing a role is durable.
Prepare documents
Create a résumé or cover letter from approved career evidence, preview the rendered result, revise it with a prompt, and keep every version attached to its opportunity.
Run the pipeline
Drag or bulk-move applications between stages, filter each column, schedule follow-ups, and open an application to review documents, research, interviews, links, and history.
Account, license, and billing
Your Jobber account is used for purchase recovery, device activation, downloads, and optional Jobber AI billing. It is not a cloud copy of your career workspace. Use the account page to restore a purchase, manage activated devices, cancel Jobber AI, update billing through Paddle, or request account deletion.
When you need support
Start with the plain-language error and its direct action. If the task still cannot recover, open Advanced details, preview a redacted support bundle, and attach only the information you choose. Never send an API key, provider token, macOS Keychain value, or unredacted career document in a support message.
