Scope
This policy applies to the Jobber website, Jobber for macOS, account and license services, support, and the optional Jobber AI service. A third-party AI provider or job source processes information under its own terms when you choose to use it.
Information we process
Career workspace
Résumés, career history, preferences, opportunity records, reports, notes, and generated application documents stay in the local workspace you select unless you deliberately use a feature that sends scoped context to an external service.
Account and license
We process the email and account identifiers needed to sign you in, confirm your purchase, activate permitted devices, restore a license, and provide account support.
Purchase and subscription
Paddle processes checkout and payment details. Jobber receives transaction, product, tax-region, refund, and subscription status needed to provide and reconcile your entitlement; Jobber does not receive your complete card number.
Website and service operations
Hosting and security systems may process IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, request paths, and bounded error details to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
When information leaves your Mac
- Job sources
- Searches contact only sources you enable. Requests can include the search terms and filters required by that source. Jobber preserves source links and does not bypass access controls.
- Use my Codex
- The task context you approve is sent to OpenAI through your eligible Codex relationship and is handled under OpenAI's applicable terms.
- Use my OpenAI key
- The selected task context is sent directly to the OpenAI API. Your key is stored in macOS Keychain and is not written to your workspace or website storage.
- Jobber AI
- The minimum task context needed to complete an action passes through Jobber's authenticated gateway to its AI provider. Jobber records privacy-safe usage and outcome metadata, not a cloud copy of your career workspace.
- Support
- A support bundle is shared only after you preview and confirm it. You can remove paths, URLs, and diagnostics before sending it.
How we use information
- provide sign-in, licenses, device activation, and account recovery;
- process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and billing support;
- run a task you explicitly start with the provider you selected;
- protect the service, prevent abuse, and enforce hard usage limits;
- diagnose failures and respond to support requests; and
- meet tax, accounting, security, and legal obligations.
Information we do not use for product analytics
- résumé or career-history text;
- job descriptions, company research, or application notes;
- prompts, generated documents, or evaluation reports;
- API keys, provider tokens, or Keychain contents; or
- sensitive URLs and raw process output.
Sharing and service providers
Jobber uses service providers only for functions such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring, and optional hosted AI. They may process information only for the service they provide and under applicable contractual and legal obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users, Jobber, or the public from harm.
Retention and deletion
Local workspace content remains until you remove it from your Mac. Account, entitlement, device, and support records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet tax or legal obligations. Billing records may be kept for the period required by Paddle and applicable law. Deleting a Jobber account does not delete the local workspace on your Mac.
Your choices and rights
You can change or disconnect an AI provider, disable sources, move or delete local workspaces, review task access before it runs, export local files, manage billing, and request access, correction, or deletion of eligible account information. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal reasons.
Privacy requests and security reports are handled through Jobber support. We verify the request before changing account data.
Security, children, and international processing
Jobber uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it processes, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Jobber is not directed to children under 16. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own; where required, Jobber relies on legally recognized transfer safeguards.
Changes and contact
Material changes are posted here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the app or account email. Questions, privacy requests, and complaints can be submitted through the Help page. The legal business identity and postal notice address also appear on your purchase receipt and controlling license terms.
